I found a way to get Google Business Profiles live without verification

I am going to share a crazy trick that I have found with Google Business Profiles and if you decide to do it, you absolutely are doing it at your own risk. Please do not DM me pissed off because your profile got taken down. That’s on you. I’m just sharing this info and you can do what you want with it. We aren’t liable for anything you try. We are sharing things that we have found.

Everyone knows that a physical address is essentially a necessity when it comes to Google Business Profiles. The entire algorithm is based on proximity, so if you don’t have an address listed and live, you lose out on that ranking factor. Every SEO that I talk to, myself included, has a miserable time ranking GBPs without an address. It’s super hard.

Everyone also knows that getting GBPs verified is getting harder and harder. Google is really only doing it through video verification now and they have a long list of requirements to get it done. I know business owners who had to submit 10 videos before approval. It’s crazy.

I think I found a way to get a physical address live, without any sort of verification. I have a handful of service businesses as existing clients that don’t have physical addresses on their GBPs. Just service areas. The ones that have had profiles live longer than 3 months and have a good amount of reviews on the profile (50+) are able to go put in literally any address and it gets verified immediately. This happened with 5 different clients and it worked every time so I decided to test it myself.

I created a service area business, listed it for 3 months, pushed 40 reviews to it, and then randomly put an address in. It verified in under 10 minutes and calls are going through the roof.

You can try this yourself. Create a GBP. If you are a business owner and already have a Google Business Profile, I highly recommend that you do this under a different email address that your current GBP is listed under. Fill out the GBP as much as humanly possible, list a service area but no address, and then let it sit for 3 months.

Try to push 30 reviews to it over the course of the 3 months, and do an update on the profile every week. Make it look like a real business. Then, when 3 months have gone by, go put a physical address in and see what happens. If it does the same thing it’s done for me, it verifies it and lists it in under 10 minutes.

I had a client with a service area business and I messaged him on slack asking if there was an address he could use for his GBP. I definitely didn’t tell him to do this, but he put in the address of an apartment complex in the middle of a city he was trying to rank in.  It worked. Calls have skyrocketed.

The risk here is obviously if someone reports you for not having a business at that location, Google could ask for a video verification. If you did this at a random address, of course that verification video is impossible. If you did it at your home or the home of someone you know, you stand a chance.

Again, this falls into the black hat bucket. Do not try this if you have no idea what you are doing. Just wanted to share.

Our boy Trey over on Twitter believes he has a way to get this done even quicker. Check him out here: https://x.com/treycopeland/status/1809301329401037045?s=46

If you just want to pay someone to get your FIRST GBP live, I recommend working with Bodhi over at Stryker Digital. He charges $750 but he gets the job done: https://h6hgl46new8.typeform.com/to/oe6gEusT
