Google Business Profile Verification
“Just do it the right way”
For the past few years I have been trying anything possible to get Google Business Profiles live with a physical address. The vast majority of the time when you have a physical address, you rank better. As simple as that.
In recent months, likely because of SEO guys like me, Google has made it tremendously hard to get physical addresses live. Almost every trick that I have up my sleeve has ceased to work, and every loophole I have found has been closed up.
Between listing GBPs at homes, coworking spaces, PO boxes, friends homes, and a ton of other sketchy things I probably shouldn’t repeat, we have thrown the kitchen sink at Google to get GBPs live for startups. We want our clients to win, it is as simple as that.
As a side hobby, I track the real estate market meticulously. I love the passive income and tax benefits that come from buying and holding real estate. If you know anything about the market at all, you’ve likely seen that commercial real estate has been getting hammered. Rents are down and vacancy is up in places across the US.
This got me thinking, why don’t I verify Google Business Profiles the right way and verify real addresses? Why don’t I just find the cheapest place imaginable to rent and just pay for the lease?
I have done lots of research in a ton of markets across the US, and I truly believe you find a place for $500 a month or less. That comes out to 6k a year on the high end.
6k a year is unbelievably cheap to open up a brand new revenue stream for your business. If you are a dentist, you may only need a few patients to cover that cost. If you are a roofer, you may only need 2 roofs to cover that cost. If you are a personal injury attorney, that may be just one car accident case.
Here is a place in Las Vegas that you can get for a few hundred bucks a month:

Here is a place in Seattle that may come out to less than $250 per month:

Simply go to LoopNet, search your city, and filter spaces by 400 square feet max. You’ll be surprised what you find.
I don’t care how ugly the place may be. You don’t need to work out of it. It is simply for the algorithm. Paying a few thousand dollars a year to open a new revenue stream is game-changing.
